§ 801. Appointment; qualification. A board of inquiry for the\npurposes of this article shall consist of a chairman and such other\npersons as the commissioner shall from time to time appoint, The\nchairman and each appointive member of the board shall be exempt from\ncivil service examination and the provisions of the civil service law\nand rules.\n
