* § 795-b. Severability. If any clause, sentence, paragraph,\nsubdivision or section of this article shall be adjudged by any court of\ncompetent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall not affect,\nimpair, or invalidate the remainder thereof, but shall be confined in\nits operation to the clause, sentence, paragraph, subdivision or section\nthereof directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment\nshall have been rendered. It is hereby declared to be the intent of the\nlegislature that this article would have been enacted even if such\ninvalid provisions had not been included herein.\n  * NB Effective and Repealed July 1, 2026\n
