§ 788. Other powers. The attorney general, either upon his or her own\ncomplaint or the complaint of any person acting for themselves or the\ngeneral public, has the authority to prosecute actions, either civil or\ncriminal, for violations of this article, or to enforce the provisions\nthereof independently and without specific direction of the\ncommissioner.\n
