§ 283. Each such typist or stenographer to an official referee\nappointed pursuant to section one hundred twenty-six of this chapter\nshall receive an annual salary to be fixed by the official referee\nappointing him, not to exceed thirty-six hundred dollars. The manner and\ntime of payment of such salary shall be the same as that provided for\nclerks to justices of the supreme court in each district as set forth in\nsection two hundred seventy-three of this chapter.\n
