§ 249-a. Internal control responsibilities. 1. The chief judge shall:\n a. establish and maintain for the judiciary guidelines for a system of\ninternal control;\n b. establish and maintain for the judiciary a system of internal\ncontrol and a program of internal control review. The program of\ninternal review shall be designed to identify internal control\nweaknesses and identify actions that are needed to correct these\nweaknesses; and\n c. designate one or more internal control officers to implement and\nreview the internal control responsibilities established pursuant to\nthis section.\n 2. In order to identify all components of the judiciary and their\nresponsibilities for the purposes of implementing the provisions of this\narticle, the chief judge shall issue and, at his or her discretion,\nperiodically revise a schedule which lists all such components.\n
