Power of supreme court justices in Putnam county to appoint law stenographers and typists

§ 165-c. Power of supreme court justices in Putnam county to appoint\nlaw stenographers and typists.  The justice or justices of the supreme\ncourt residing in Putnam county, or a majority of them, may appoint and\nat pleasure remove and prescribe the duties of a confidential law\nstenographer and typist, who shall receive such compensation as may be\nfixed by the board of supervisors of such county. Such compensation\nshall be a charge against such county and shall be paid by the treasurer\nthereof in monthly installments upon the certificate of such justice or\njustices, or a majority of them, or, if all such justices have died or\nare disabled, of the county judge of such county.\n
