Appointment of calendar clerk for Schenectady county in the fourth judicial district

§ 158-b. Appointment of calendar clerk for Schenectady county in the\nfourth judicial district.  The justices of the supreme court for the\nfourth judicial district, or the majority of them, may appoint and may\nat pleasure remove a calendar clerk in and for the county of\nSchenectady. No person shall be eligible to such appointment unless he\nshall be a resident elector of the county of Schenectady. His\nqualifications and fitness for the office shall be determined and\napproved by the justices making the appointment. He shall have charge of\nall the calendars of the supreme court in and for said county and shall\nbe governed by and have such powers as are provided by the rules and/or\nregulations adopted from time to time in accordance with statute.  The\ncounty board of representatives of Schenectady county shall fix the\nsalary of such clerk and may authorize him to employ within the\nappropriations made by said board, such clerical force or other\nassistants as it shall determine.\n
