§ 2711. Severability. If any word, clause, sentence, paragraph,\nsubdivision, section or part of this article shall be adjudged by any\ncourt of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall not\naffect, impair, or invalidate the remainder thereof, but shall be\nconfined in its operation to the word, clause, sentence, paragraph,\nsubdivision, section or part thereof directly involved in the\ncontroversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered. It is\nhereby declared to be the intent of the legislature that this article\nwould have been enacted even if such invalid provisions had not been\nincluded herein.\n
