§ 120. Election of trustees. The adult male members belonging to the\nShinnecock tribe of Indians in Suffolk county, who for the preceding six\nmonths shall have resided on the reservation of said tribe, may meet on\nthe first Tuesday in April in each year, at the place of holding town\nmeetings in the town of Southampton, and by plurality of votes elect\nthree persons, belonging to such tribe, as trustees. The town clerk of\nsaid town shall attend and preside at such meetings and shall enter in a\nbook kept by him for that purpose the names of the trustees chosen. He\nshall also enter in such book the proceedings of such trustees and of\nthe justices of such town in reference to the allotment or leasing of\nIndian lands.\n
