§ 99-l. Fees in criminal actions and other proceedings. 1. Towns and\nvillages, for their own respective benefits shall be entitled to receive\nfor the services of the town court and the village court in criminal\nactions and other proceedings:\n  (a) For all services in each case of a misdemeanor or other offenses,\nincluding misdemeanors and moving violations under the vehicle and\ntraffic law, instituted in and triable in such a court, wherein a fine,\nif imposed, would be the property of the state, fifteen dollars.\n  (b) For all services in each criminal proceeding instituted before and\ntriable by such a court, wherein a fine, if imposed, would be the\nproperty of the state, fifteen dollars.\n  (c) For all services in any case in which the court acts upon a felony\ncomplaint, to be paid by the county, ten dollars.\n  (d) For all services in any case in which the defendant is held for\nappearance before another court, no fee.\n  (e) For endorsing a warrant from another county, no fee.\n  (f) For furnishing copies of papers in any proceeding, at the rate of\ntwenty-five cents per folio of one hundred words.\n  (g) For return to any appeal to be paid by the county, ten dollars.\n  (h) For examination of any information and depositions and issuing a\nsearch warrant, including any disposition upon the return thereof,\nfifteen dollars.\n  (i) For issuing a license suspension or revocation order pursuant to\nparagraph (d) of subdivision two of section eleven hundred ninety-three\nof the vehicle and traffic law, providing the license suspension or\nrevocation order is forwarded to the commissioner along with the\ncertificates required in sections five hundred thirteen and five hundred\nfourteen of the vehicle and traffic law within ninety-six hours, or for\nsuspending a license pursuant to clause a of subparagraph one of\nparagraph (e) of subdivision two of section eleven hundred ninety-three\nof such law, providing the license and the certificate of magistrate\nrequired in section five hundred thirteen of such law are forwarded to\nthe commissioner within ninety-six hours, fifteen dollars.\n  * 2. The county of Nassau shall be entitled to receive the amounts set\nforth in subdivision one of this section for the services of the Nassau\ncounty traffic and parking violations agency and for all services in\neach case of a parking violation, instituted and triable in such agency,\nwherein a fine is imposed, a surcharge of ten dollars.\n  * NB Effective until December 31, 2027\n  * 2. The county of Nassau shall be entitled to receive the amounts set\nforth in subdivision one of this section for the services of Nassau\ncounty traffic and parking violations agency.\n  * NB Effective December 31, 2027\n  3. The county of Suffolk shall be entitled to receive the amounts set\nforth in subdivision one of this section for the services of the Suffolk\ncounty traffic and parking violations agency.\n
