Relocation of displaced persons

§ 970-j. Relocation of displaced persons. The legislative body shall\nprepare a feasible plan for relocation of all families and persons to be\ntemporarily or permanently displaced from housing facilities in the\nproject area. The legislative body shall insure that such plan for the\nrelocation of families or single persons to be displaced by a project\nshall provide that no person or family of low and moderate income shall\nbe displaced unless and until there is suitable housing available and\nready for occupancy by such displaced person or family at rents\ncomparable to those paid at the time of their displacement. Such housing\nshall be suitable to the needs of such displaced person or family\nincluding, but not limited to, access to work, adequate space and other\nfinancial considerations and such housing must be decent, safe,\nsanitary, and otherwise standard dwellings. The agency shall not\ndisplace such person or family until such housing is available and ready\nfor occupancy.\n
