§ 584. Port Jervis community development agency. A municipal urban\nrenewal agency, to be known as the Port Jervis community development\nagency, is hereby established for the accomplishment of any or all of\nthe purposes specified in articles fifteen and fifteen-A of this chapter\nand in accordance with article eighteen of the constitution of the state\nof New York. It shall constitute a body corporate and politic, be\nperpetual in duration and consist of not less than three and not more\nthan seven members. Three of the members, who shall be residents of Port\nJervis, shall be appointed by the mayor to serve for one, two and three\nyear terms, respectively. Of the remaining members, two shall be\nselected from the majority of the city council to serve at its pleasure,\nand two shall be selected from the minority of the city council to serve\nat its pleasure. The agency shall have the powers and duties now or\nhereafter conferred by article fifteen-A of this chapter upon municipal\nrenewal agencies. It shall be organized in the manner prescribed by and\nbe subject to the provisions of article fifteen-A of this chapter and\nthe agency, its members, officers and employees and its operations and\nactivities shall in all respects be governed by the provisions of such\narticle.\n
