§ 370. Establishment. 1. The legislative body of a city, village or\ntown, may by ordinance or local law authorize the court having\njurisdiction of traffic cases to establish a traffic violations bureau\nto assist the court in the disposition of infractions in relation to\ntraffic violations.\n  2. There shall be a department of the Nassau county government known\nas the Nassau county traffic and parking violations agency, which shall\noperate under the direction and control of the county executive.\n  3. There shall be a department of the Suffolk county government known\nas the Suffolk county traffic and parking violations agency, which shall\noperate under the direction and control of the county executive.\n  4. There shall be an executive department of the Buffalo city\ngovernment known as the Buffalo traffic violations agency, which shall\noperate under the direction and control of the mayor.\n  5. There shall be an executive department or bureau of the city of\nRochester known as the Rochester traffic violations agency, which shall\noperate under the direction and control of the mayor or the mayor's\ndesignee.\n
