§ 204-g. Restrictions on the use of firefighting foam containing PFAS\nchemicals. 1. As used in this section:\n  (a) "Class B firefighting foam" means foams designed to extinguish\nignitable liquid fires.\n  (b) "Ignitable liquid fire" shall have the same meaning as defined in\nparagraph (b) of subdivision one of section three hundred ninety-one-u\nof the general business law.\n  (c) "Local governments" includes any county, city, town, village, fire\ndistrict, fire company as defined in section two hundred four-a of this\narticle, regional fire protection authority, or other special purpose\ndistrict that provides firefighting services.\n  (d) "Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances" or "PFAS\nchemicals" shall have the same meaning as defined in paragraph (f) of\nsubdivision one of section three hundred ninety-one-u of the general\nbusiness law.\n  2. No local government shall discharge or otherwise use for training\npurposes class B firefighting foam that contains intentionally added\nperfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS chemicals).\n
