§ 750-k. Violations and penalties. Any person not licensed pursuant to\nthis article who shall directly or indirectly engage in the business of\noperating a pet cemetery or pet crematorium or hold himself or herself\nout to the public as being able so to do, or who shall violate any of\nthe provisions of this article, or having had his license suspended or\nrevoked, shall continue to engage in the business of operating a pet\ncemetery or pet crematorium or who, without a license to engage in the\nbusiness of operating a pet cemetery or pet crematorium, directly or\nindirectly employs, permits or authorizes an unlicensed person to engage\nin the business of operating a pet cemetery or pet crematorium, shall\nfor the first offense be guilty of a violation and, upon conviction\nthereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred\ndollars or by imprisonment for a term of not more than fifteen days, or\nby both such fine and imprisonment. If the conviction is for an offense\ncommitted after the first conviction of such person under this article,\nsuch person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction\nthereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than two thousand five\nhundred dollars or by imprisonment for a term of not more than one year,\nor by both such fine and imprisonment. Each violation of this article\nshall be deemed a separate offense.\n
