§ 248. Aircraft on Lake Mahopac, Lake Moraine, Lake George, and Lake\nOscawana, Owasco Lake and Greenwood Lake prohibited.  The taking off\nfrom or landing upon the surface of Lake Mahopac in the town of Carmel\nand county of Putnam, or upon the surface of Lake Moraine, also known as\nMadison reservoir, in the town of Madison and county of Madison, except\nwhen a landing and subsequent take off is necessary under actual\ndistress conditions, and the operation of aircraft on or over the waters\nof Lake George, and on or over the waters of Lake Oscawana in the town\nof Putnam Valley, county of Putnam, or of Owasco Lake in the county of\nCayuga or of Greenwood Lake in the town of Warwick, county of Orange for\nthe carriage of passengers for hire, from and to points on such lakes or\non the shores thereof, is a misdemeanor.\n
