§ 426. Constitutionality. If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section\nor part of this article shall for any reason be adjudged by any court of\ncompetent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall not affect,\nimpair or invalidate the remainder thereof, but shall be confined in its\noperation to the clause, sentence, paragraph or section or part thereof\ndirectly involved in controversy in which such judgment shall have been\nrendered.\n
