§ 214-d. Human trafficking awareness. The superintendent, in\nconsultation with the office of temporary and disability assistance and\nthe division of criminal justice services, shall: (1) develop, maintain\nand disseminate to all members of the state police, including new and\nveteran officers, written policies, procedures and educational materials\nrelating to human trafficking victims, including services available for\nvictims of human trafficking, as referenced in section four hundred\neighty-three-bb of the social services law; and (2) establish and\nimplement written procedures and policies in the event a member of the\ndivision of state police encounters an individual believed to be a\nvictim of human trafficking, which shall include, but not be limited to,\nthe provision of information and/or referral to an appropriate provider\nof social and legal services to human trafficking victims, in accordance\nwith such section four hundred eighty-three-bb.\n
