§ 176. Advisory council. The advisory council on charities\nregistration is continued. It shall advise the attorney general and make\nrecommendations with respect to the operation and administration of this\narticle with the objective of assuring maximum simplicity in the\nconformance of charitable organizations with the provisions of this\narticle. The council shall consist of not fewer than five nor more than\nten members. The members of the advisory council now in office shall\ncontinue to hold office for the remainder of the terms to which they\nwere appointed and thereafter until their successors are appointed. The\nattorney general shall designate the chairman of the council and may\nappoint additional and successor members and fix their terms of office.\nThe members shall serve without compensation but shall be allowed their\nactual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their\nduties hereunder.\n
