§ 54-0501. Definitions.\n As used in this title the following terms shall mean and include:\n 1. "Landfill" means a disposal facility or part of one at which solid\nwaste, or its residue after treatment, is intentionally placed in or on\nland, and at which solid waste will remain after closure and which is\nnot a land spreading facility, a surface impoundment, or an injection\nwell.\n 2. "Municipal landfill closure project" means activities undertaken to\nclose, including by reclamation, a landfill owned or operated by a\nmunicipality to achieve compliance with regulations promulgated by the\ndepartment, or activities undertaken to implement a landfill gas\nmanagement system.\n 3. "Cost" means the capital cost of a municipal landfill closure\nproject or a municipal landfill gas management project, including\nengineering and architectural services, plans and specifications,\nconsultant and legal services, and other direct capital expenses\nincident to such project, less any federal or other assistance for such\nproject received or to be received.\n 4. "Landfill gas management system" means an active system for the\ncontrol, capture, and management of gas created within and emitted from\na solid waste landfill.\n 5. "Municipal landfill gas management project" means activities\nundertaken to implement a landfill gas management system at an active\nlandfill which is owned or operated by a municipality.\n
