Standards applicable to generators of regulated medical waste

§ 27-1510. Standards applicable to generators of regulated medical\n             waste.\n  1. The commissioner shall promulgate regulations establishing\nstandards which shall be applicable to all generators of any quantity of\nregulated medical waste, as may be necessary to protect human health and\nthe environment. Such standards shall include, but need not be limited\nto, requirements respecting:\n  a. Recordkeeping practices that accurately identify the quantities of\nsuch regulated medical waste generated, and the disposition thereof;\n  b. Compliance with the marking, labeling and packaging requirements\npursuant to section 27-1505 of this title;\n  c. Compliance with the tracking system pursuant to section 27-1504 of\nthis title; and\n  d. Submission of an annual report to the commissioner, and additional\nreports at such times as the commissioner deems necessary, on such forms\nas the commissioner shall prescribe, respecting the quantities of\nregulated medical waste generated during a specified time period, and\nthe disposition thereof.\n  2. Any such regulation may not exempt, but may differ in its terms as\nbetween generators of differing quantities of regulated medical waste.\n
