Payment by the state of part of cost of river improvement

§ 15-2319. Payment by the state of part of cost of river improvement.\n  Should the department find that the state of New York properly should\nbear a part of the cost of any river improvement, it is hereby\nauthorized to so recommend to the Legislature and it may not proceed\nfurther with the project until the Legislature has made the necessary\nprovisions for the payment of such costs or unless the project be so\nmodified as to eliminate state contributions to the cost thereof. Except\nunder the above circumstances the state shall be liable for no costs in\nconnection with any such improvement except that the salaries and\ngeneral expenses of the members of the department not specifically\nassigned to the particular project are not to be assessed upon the\ndistrict.\n
