§ 15-1973. Drainage section association; definitions.\n The following words and phrases, unless otherwise specified, are\ndefined as follows:\n 1. A "drainage section" shall mean an area, of drainable acreage, as\ndescribed in articles of association which have been filed and recorded\nas authorized by section 15-1975.\n 2. "Drainable acreage" shall mean that part of an owner's swamp, bog,\npond, meadow or other low or wet agricultural lands, which will be\ndrained by a drainage system as authorized by this title 19 to increase\nits productivity or otherwise render it more available for agricultural\npurposes, or in order to benefit the public health, safety and welfare.\n 3. "Aggregate drainable acreage" shall mean the total drainable\nacreage owned by all owners who execute articles of association\nauthorized by this title 19.\n 4. "Owner" shall mean a person other than a municipal or public\ncorporation, who or which is the owner in fee of drainable acreage and\nwho or which executes the articles of association.\n
