Major repairs of drainage works

§ 15-1941. Major repairs of drainage works.\n  1. Major repairs, alterations, extensions and improvements of drainage\nworks for a drainage improvement district may be made by the department\non petition therefor and after procedure thereon similar to that\nspecified in section 15-1931 for original construction.  If additional\nsurveys are required, they may be authorized as provided in sections\n15-1911, 15-1913, 15-1915 and 15-1917, except that the cost of surveys\nand other expenses may be included in the cost of the improvement and\nassessed on the properties to be served thereby in accordance with the\napportionment of cost of the repairs.\n  2. Except where the department shall otherwise determine, the cost of\nimprovements and repairs to a ditch already built under the provisions\nof title 19 of this article, or of any former drainage laws, shall be\napportioned in the same manner as the original cost was apportioned, but\nthe department may make a new apportionment by following the procedure\nabove specified.\n
