§ 15-1727. Maintenance of project works.\n  1. The licensee shall at all times maintain the project works in good\nrepair and in efficient working order; shall promptly make all necessary\nrenewals and replacements, including such necessary renewals or\nreplacements as may, after a hearing, be directed by the department for\nthis purpose, and shall establish and maintain adequate reserves\ntherefor.\n  2. The department may at any time institute an investigation or hold a\nhearing, or both, with respect to the compliance by the licensee with\nthe requirements of this section and the adequacy of the reserves\nmaintained by it for the purposes herein specified. After such\ninvestigation or hearing, the department may issue such order or orders,\nnot inconsistent with title 17 of this article, as in its judgment will\ninsure compliance by the licensee with the provisions of title 17 of\nthis article, in respect to all matters so investigated.\n  3. The licensee shall promptly conform to and comply with such\ndirections, orders, rules or regulations as the department may make from\ntime to time in the interests of navigation, or for the protection of\nlife, health or property or other lawful purposes. He shall likewise\npromptly conform to and comply with such lawful rules and regulations as\nmay from time to time be prescribed by the federal government, its duly\nauthorized officers or agents relating to the navigation of the waters\ncovered by the license.\n
