Standards for reuse and disposal of reclaimed wastewater

§ 15-0605. Standards for reuse and disposal of reclaimed wastewater.\n  The commissioner, in consultation with the department of health, shall\nestablish rules, regulations and standards for the reuse and disposal of\nreclaimed wastewater and/or greywater. The department of health shall\nadvise the department on water quality and pathogens monitoring\nrequirements.\n  1. Such rules, regulations and standards shall specify:\n  a. the permitted uses of reclaimed wastewater and greywater with\nrequired levels of water quality and treatment for each permitted use;\npermitted uses shall include, but not be limited to: industrial cooling;\ncommercial and industrial landscaping; park and golf course irrigation;\ngroundwater recharge; surface water supply augmentation; wetland\ncreation and augmentation, and non-food agricultural crop and lawn\nirrigation.\n  b. operational requirements including, but not limited to, treatment\nfacility reliability; storage requirements, if necessary; system\nlabeling and color-coding requirements; and pipe location and placement.\n  2. Such rules, regulations and standards shall be promulgated within\nthirty months of the effective date of this section.\n
