§ 11-1003. Falconry license.\n Any resident of this state may be issued a falconry license. The\ndepartment shall prescribe and furnish forms for application for such\nlicense. The fee for the license shall be forty dollars. Falconry\nlicenses shall expire on December 31 every fifth year and shall be\nrenewable at the discretion of the department. A falconry license shall\nauthorize the licensee to obtain, buy, sell, barter, possess and train\nraptors for falconry and to engage in falconry, provided that no game\nshall be taken or killed except during an open season therefor, and\nfurther provided that such licensee shall also possess a license\npursuant to this chapter which authorizes the holder to hunt wildlife.\nAny non-resident, who legally possesses a raptor where he or she resides\nand who may legally engage in falconry where he or she resides, may\nengage in falconry in New York without a falconry license provided he or\nshe possesses a valid non-resident hunting license.\n
