§ 2-112. Committees; organization. 1. Every committee shall meet and\norganize by electing a chairman, a secretary, a treasurer and such other\nofficers as they may pursuant to their rules.\n (a) Every state committee shall meet no earlier than September\nseventeenth and no later than October first following the June primary.\nUntil such organization meeting, the existing state committee shall\nexercise all legal authority. Upon the conclusion of such organization\nmeeting, the new state committee shall assume all legal authority vested\nin the previously organized state committee.\n (b) Every county committee shall meet no earlier than September\nseventeenth and no later than October sixth following the June primary.\nUntil such organization meeting, the existing county committee shall\nexercise all legal authority. Upon the conclusion of such organization\nmeeting, the new county committee shall assume all legal authority\nvested in the previously organized county committee.\n (c) All other committees shall meet within the time specified by party\nrules.\n (d) Within three days after their organization meeting all state and\ncounty committees shall file in the office of the state board of\nelections a certificate stating the names and post office addresses of\nsuch officers. County committees and any other committee contained\ntherein shall file a copy of such statement with their county board of\nelections.\n 2. Such officers shall be enrolled members of the party, but need not\nbe members of such committees.\n
