New York Election Code § 17-116

Removal, mutilation or destruction of election booths, supplies, poll-lists or cards of instruction

§ 17-116. Removal, mutilation or destruction of election booths,\nsupplies, poll-lists or cards of instruction. Any person who:\n  1. During the election, wilfully defaces or injures a voting booth or\ncompartment, or wilfully removes or destroys any of the supplies or\nother conveniences placed in the voting booths or compartments in\npursuance of law; or,\n  2. Before the closing of the polls, wilfully defaces or destroys any\nlist of candidates to be voted for such an election posted in accordance\nwith the election law; or,\n  3. During an election, wilfully removes or defaces the cards for the\ninstruction of voters, posted in accordance with this chapter, is guilty\nof a misdemeanor.\n
