Disposition of fines for benefit of schools of town, district or city

§ 3802. Disposition of fines for benefit of schools of town, district\nor city.  Whenever a fine or penalty is inflicted or imposed for the\nbenefit of the common schools of a town or school district, the\nmagistrate, constable or other officer collecting or receiving the same\nshall forthwith pay the same to the county treasurer of the county in\nwhich the schoolhouse is located, who shall credit the same to the town\nor district for whose benefit it is collected.  If the fine or penalty\nbe inflicted or imposed for the benefit of the common schools of a city,\nor of any part or district of a city, it shall be paid into the city\ntreasury.\n
