§ 77-o. Role of law enforcement. At the request of a prosecutor or\nother appropriate public official acting under section seventy-seven-n\nof this title, a law enforcement officer, as defined in subdivision\nthirty-four of section 1.20 of the criminal procedure law, may take any\nlawful action reasonably necessary to locate a child or a party and\nassist a prosecutor or appropriate public official with responsibilities\nunder section seventy-seven-n of this title.\n
