§ 106. Powers of members of municipal and volunteer agencies to detain\nfor misdemeanors or infractions. Any person who is a member of a\nmunicipal or volunteer agency, in the course of his duty as such and\nwhile wearing or displaying a distinguishing brassard or other insignia\nindicative of authority, may stop and detain any person on account of a\nmisdemeanor or infraction committed by such person in the presence of\nsuch member, and may forthwith turn him over to a peace officer who may\narrest him without a warrant on the charge of committing the violation\nconstituting the misdemeanor or infraction.\n
