*§ 59-d. Public posting of employment opportunities. The department\nshall make publicly available on its website all employment\nopportunities in the civil service of the state and information on\nobtaining employment with the state, including, but not limited to,\nvacancies in the competitive, non-competitive and labor jurisdictional\nclasses, announcements for upcoming open-competitive and promotional\nexaminations, test application instructions, and designations of which\nemployment opportunities are eligible to be filled by individuals with\ndisabilities and veterans with disabilities, including whether such\npositions may be filled on a full-time or part-time basis, pursuant to\nsection fifty-five-b and section fifty-five-c, as amended by a chapter\nof the laws of two thousand twenty-three, of this title. The president\nshall work in conjunction with the New York state department of labor\nand the governor's office of employee relations in order to effectuate\nthe provisions of this section.\n * NB Effective until December 31, 2027 OR thirty days after the\ncommissioner of civil service certifies that the department's website is\nable to accommodate the amendments to section 59-d of the civil service\nlaw made by chapter 664 of 2025, whichever occurs earlier\n * § 59-d. Public posting of employment opportunities. 1. For the\npurposes of this section, the term "municipality" shall mean a village,\ntown, city, or county.\n 2. The department shall make publicly available on its website all\nemployment opportunities in the civil service of the state and\ninformation on obtaining employment with the state, including, but not\nlimited to, vacancies in the competitive, non-competitive and labor\njurisdictional classes, announcements for upcoming open-competitive and\npromotional examinations, test application instructions, and\ndesignations of which employment opportunities are eligible to be filled\nby individuals with disabilities and veterans with disabilities,\nincluding whether such positions may be filled on a full-time or\npart-time basis, pursuant to section fifty-five-b and section\nfifty-five-c, as amended by a chapter of the laws of two thousand\ntwenty-three, of this title.\n 3. The department shall provide municipalities in the state with the\nability to post municipal employment opportunities on the same website\nof the department under which state civil service positions are posted\npursuant to subdivision two of this section, including all other\nrelevant information as described under subdivision two of this section.\nSuch municipal employment opportunities shall be posted in a format\nwhere job seekers may search by municipality and municipal employment\nposition type.\n 4. The president shall work in conjunction with the New York state\ndepartment of labor, the governor's office of employee relations, and\nmunicipalities seeking to post municipal employment positions pursuant\nto subdivision three of this section, in order to effectuate the\nprovisions of this section.\n * NB Effective December 31, 2027 OR thirty days after the commissioner\nof civil service certifies that the department's website is able to\naccommodate the amendments to section 59-d of the civil service law made\nby chapter 664 of 2025, whichever occurs earlier\n
