Directions to the sheriff

§ 5238. Directions to the sheriff.  Upon motion of any party, on\nnotice to the sheriff and all other parties, the court may direct the\nsheriff to dispose of, account for, assign, return or release all or any\npart of any property or debt, or the proceeds thereof, or to file\nadditional returns, subject to the payment of the sheriff's fees and\nexpenses. As far as practicable, the court shall direct that notice of\nthe motion be given to any other judgment creditors, at the addresses\nshown on the judgment docket and to any persons who have secured orders\nof attachment affecting any property or debt, or the proceeds thereof,\nsought to be returned or released.\n
