Confinement of extradited persons passing through this state

§ 570.30  Confinement of extradited persons passing through this state.\n  The officer or agent of a demanding state to whom a prisoner may have\nbeen delivered following extradition proceedings in another state, or to\nwhom a prisoner may have been delivered after waiving extradition in\nsuch other state, and who is passing through this state with such a\nprisoner for the purpose of immediately returning such prisoner to the\ndemanding state may, when necessary, confine the prisoner in the jail of\nany county or city through which he may pass; and the keeper of such\njail must receive and safely keep the prisoner until the officer or\nagent having charge of him is ready to proceed on his route, such\nofficer or agent, however, being chargeable with the expense of keeping,\nprovided, however, that such officer or agent shall produce and show to\nthe keeper of such jail satisfactory written evidence of the fact that\nhe is actually transporting such prisoner to the demanding state after a\nrequisition by the executive authority of such demanding state or waiver\nthereof.  Such person shall not be entitled to demand a new requisition\nwhile in this state.\n
