§ 523. Revocation of designation of jail. When a jail is erected for\nthe county, for whose use the designation pursuant to section five\nhundred and four of this chapter was made, or its jail is rendered fit\nand safe for the confinement of prisoners, or the reason for the\ndesignation of another jail or place has otherwise ceased to be\noperative, the designation must be revoked, as prescribed in this\narticle and section five hundred and five of this chapter.\n
