§ 323. Sale of property. The court in the judicial district in which a\nperson is sentenced to life imprisonment may empower, authorize and\ndirect a committee of such person to sell any of the real or personal\nproperty of such person, and to do whatever may be deemed necessary in\nthe management of any of such person's property in the manner prescribed\nfor a committee of an incompetent. The court may from time to time, in\nthe manner prescribed upon the sale of the property of an infant, if it\ndeems it necessary, or that the estate will be benefited thereby, direct\nthe sale of any of the real or personal property by said committee, and\nthe investment of the proceeds of such sale. The court shall control\nsuch committees in the performance of their duties; and may from time to\ntime modify and alter its direction or orders in any matter pertaining\nto an estate.\n
