Deputization of out-of-state officers

§ 208. Deputization of out-of-state officers. The commissioner is\nhereby authorized and empowered to deputize any parole officer or peace\nofficer of another state to act as an officer and agent of this state in\neffecting the return of any person who has violated the terms and\nconditions of parole or probation as granted by this state.\n  Any deputization pursuant to this section shall be in writing and any\nperson authorized to act as an agent of this state pursuant hereto shall\ncarry formal evidence of his or her deputization and shall produce the\nsame upon demand.\n  The commissioner is hereby authorized, subject to the approval of the\ncomptroller, to enter into contracts with similar officials of any other\nstate or states for the purpose of sharing an equitable portion of the\ncost of effecting the return of any person who has violated the terms\nand conditions of parole or probation as granted by this state.\n
