Official undertaking of district attorneys

§ 929. Official undertaking of district attorneys. Every person\nelected or appointed to the office of district attorney, shall, before\nhe enters upon the duties of his office, and if appointed, within\nfifteen days after notice thereof, execute and deliver, to the county\nclerk of his county, an official undertaking with surety or sureties in\nan amount fixed by the comptroller approved by a justice of the supreme\ncourt in the county in which he has been elected or is serving. Such\nundertaking shall be to the effect that he will faithfully account for\nand pay over according to law, or as the court may direct, all moneys\nthat may come into his hands as such district attorney.\n
