§ 826. Regional markets. The board of supervisors of a county located\nwithin any regional market district heretofore or hereafter created by\nlaw may purchase, acquire, or accept by gift lands for regional market\npurposes. Such lands may be situate anywhere within such regional\ndistrict. Adequate appropriations may be made for the erection of\nnecessary buildings, improvements, market facilities and equipment. The\nboards of supervisors of the counties within such district may agree\nupon the sharing in the cost of such sites, buildings, improvements,\nmarket facilities and equipment and the title shall be taken in the name\nof the county where situate. Such improvements shall be deemed for the\nbenefit of the sharing counties in proportion to their respective\ncontributions. The purchase, improvement or construction of such market\nfacilities by counties within such regional market district is hereby\ndeclared to be a lawful county purpose. Such real and personal property\nmay be leased or sold to any market authority or other public\ncorporation, or governmental agency created by law for such regional\ndistrict. The chairman of the board of supervisors of the county holding\nthe record title shall execute all necessary leases, conveyances, or\nother documents, on behalf of and only pursuant to resolutions duly\nadopted by all of the boards of supervisors of the counties interested\ntherein.\n
