Adopt-a-trail program

§ 11. Adopt-a-trail program. 1. The corporation may develop and\nimplement an adopt-a-trail program, the purposes of which may be to\nreduce and remove litter and debris and to enhance the appearance and\nmaintenance of the canalway trail and related facilities, as needed.\nSuch program may include, but not be limited to:\n  (a) coordinating the services of volunteers and/or volunteer\norganizations (i) to reduce the amount of litter and debris on sections\nof the canalway trail; and (ii) to enhance the appearance and\nmaintenance of the canalway trail through activities that may include,\nbut not be limited to, brush clearing, lawn maintenance, tree trimming,\nplantings, installation, repair and/or replacement of benches, kiosks,\npicnic tables and shelters; and (iii) to enhance recreational\nopportunities; and\n  (b) providing and installing signs identifying those volunteers and/or\nvolunteer organizations adopting particular sections of the canalway\ntrail.\n  2. Notwithstanding any inconsistent provision of law, the corporation,\nauthority, and commission, including any members, officers or employees\nthereof, shall not be liable for damages suffered by any persons and/or\norganizations resulting from any actions or activities of such\nvolunteers and/or volunteer organizations.\n
