* § 9-a. Temporary working permits for boxers, managers, trainers and\nseconds. The commission may issue temporary working permits to\nprofessional boxers, their managers, trainers and seconds. A temporary\nworking permit shall authorize the employment of the holder of such\npermit to engage in a single match at a specified time and place. A\ntemporary working permit may be issued if in the judgment of the\ncommission the participation of the holder thereof in a boxing match\nwill be consistent with the purposes and provisions of this chapter, the\nbest interests of boxing generally, and the public interest, convenience\nor necessity. The commission may require that boxers applying for\ntemporary working permits undergo a physical examination, neurological\nor neuropsychological test or procedure, including\nelectroencephalography and computed tomography or medically equivalent\nprocedure. The fee for such temporary working permit shall be\nestablished by the commission pursuant to rule.\n * NB Repealed September 1, 2016\n
