* § 27. Bond. Before a license shall be granted to a person or\ncorporation to conduct a boxing or sparring match or exhibition, the\napplicant shall execute and file with the comptroller a bond in an\namount to be determined by the commission, to be approved as to form and\nsufficiency of sureties thereon by the comptroller, conditioned for the\nfaithful performance by said corporation of the provisions of this act\nand the rules and regulations of the commission, and upon the filing and\napproval of said bond the comptroller shall issue to said applicant a\ncertificate of such filing and approval, which shall be by said\napplicant filed in the office of the commission with its application for\nlicense, and no such license shall be issued until such certificate\nshall be filed. In case of default in such performance, the commission\nmay impose upon the delinquent a penalty in the sum of not more than one\nthousand dollars for each offense, which may be recovered by the\nattorney-general in the name of the people of the state of New York in\nthe same manner as other penalties are recovered by law; any amount so\nrecovered shall be paid into the treasury.\n  * NB Repealed September 1, 2016\n
