§ 348. Superintendent authorized to examine. For the purpose of\ndiscovering violations of this article or securing information lawfully\nrequired hereunder, the superintendent may at any time, and as often as\nmay be determined, either personally or by a person duly designated by\nthe superintendent, investigate the loans and business and examine the\nbooks, accounts, records, and files used therein of every licensee. For\nthat purpose the superintendent and duly designated representatives\nshall have free access to the offices and place of business, books,\naccounts, papers, records, files, safes and vaults of all such\nlicensees. The superintendent shall have authority to require the\nattendance of and to examine under oath all persons whomsoever whose\ntestimony may be required relative to such loans or such business.\n
