§ 95. Protecting the breeding of pure bred stock. It shall be\nunlawful for any person or persons owning or in the possession of any\nbull of the age of more than six months, any stallion of the age of more\nthan eighteen months, or buck or boar over five months of age, to suffer\nor permit such animal or animals to go, or range, or run at large on any\nlands or premises without the consent of the person entitled to the\npossession of such land or premises.\n No right of action shall accrue under this section to any person who,\nbeing liable to contribute to the erection or repair of a division fence\nas required by the town law, shall neglect or refuse to make and\nmaintain his proportion of such fence, or shall permit the same to be\nout of repair, for damages done by any animal described in this section\ncoming, by reason of such defective fence, from adjoining lands where\nsuch animal was lawfully kept.\n
