Abolition of register or registrar

§ 207. Abolition of register or registrar. The office of register or\nregistrar, where such office exists in any county operating under an\nalternative form of county government, may be abolished by local law and\nits functions, powers and duties transferred to the county clerk, and\nsuch local law shall not require submission to the people. Such\nabolition and transfer may also be provided for in the petition or\nresolution by which an alternative form of county government, or a\nchange in such a form, is initiated.\n
