The purpose of the New Mexico Youth Conservation Corps Act is to provide a process to employ young persons in public projects that conserve New Mexico's natural resources and provide community benefits of lasting value. New Mexico will benefit by having its natural and urban environments improved and enhanced and its youth instilled with an appreciation of natural resources, cooperation, hard work and accomplishment. History: Laws 1992, ch. 91, § 2. Effective dates. — Laws 1992, ch. 91 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective May 20, 1992, 90 days after the adjournment of the legislature.
