The purpose of the Youth Alliance Act [9-2A-19 to 9-2A-22 NMSA 1978] is to encourage young people throughout New Mexico to consider and discuss the opportunities, issues and challenges they face and to identify community, family and collaborative assets as possible solutions for presentation to the governor, lieutenant governor and legislature. History: Laws 2003, ch. 324, § 2; 2005, ch. 66, § 2. The 2005 amendment, effective June 17, 2005, changed the purpose of the act to encourage young people to consider and discuss the opportunities, issues and challenges they face and to identify community, family and collaborative assets as possible solutions.
