Except as otherwise authorized in the Pesticide Control Act, no city, county or other political subdivision of the state and no home rule municipality shall adopt or continue in effect any ordinance, rule, regulation or statute regarding the registration, labeling, distribution, sale, handling, use, application, transportation or disposal of pesticides. History: Laws 1992, ch. 25, § 1. Effective dates. — Laws 1992, ch. 25 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art IV, § 23, was effective on May 20, 1992.
