A. It is unlawful for any individual to act as an employee of a commercial pesticide applicator and apply pesticides without having obtained an operator license from the department. B. The department shall issue an operator license when the applicant has passed an examination to demonstrate his ability to apply pesticides safely and effectively with the type of apparatus and in the classification for which he has applied. The department shall charge the prescribed examination fee for each examination administered. C. The provisions of this section shall not apply to any individual who is a licensed commercial pesticide applicator.
